2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour: Freddie Freeman Visits Brentwood Science Magnet School

The fourth day of the 2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour began with Freddie Freeman visiting Brentwood Science Magnet School, where he read to students, helped give away books, held a Q&A session and did his viral dance that has become popular in recent years.

“This goes back to when I was younger and doing all this, you want to be able to give back. You want a platform to be able to bring good to the community, not just in sports and on the field, but to get out and see the faces that come and support you every single night while we’re playing,” Freeman said.

“So to come out and give back, see their faces, put some smiles on their faces, get out in the community that supports us every single night, this is why we do this.”

Brentwood Science Magnet School has welcomed students from Palisades Elementary School, which suffered irreparable damage during the wildfires.

“A lot of these kids have lost their homes and lost their school, so to be able to come out here and see how much joy they have coming to school and listening to me read books, just good to put a smile on their faces when the last three weeks have been very tough,” Freeman said.

As part of Freeman’s visit to Brentwood Science Magnet School, the Los Angeles Dodgers also made a $10,000 donation to LAUSD Education Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund.

The team held two other community events on Thursday, including Shohei Ohtani, Ben Casparius and Emmet Sheehan meeting with first responders at Fire Station 69 in the Pacific Palisades. To conclude the day, Tyler Glasnow, Tony Gonsolin and Bobby Miller met with fans at a Jack in the Box location in Pasadena.

Freddie Freeman’s donation for wildfire relief efforts

Earlier this month, Freddie and Chelsea Freeman donated a grand total of $300,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Pasadena Fire Department and Salvation Army.
