As for countries that saw the largest overall viewership gains compared to the last WBC in 2017 , Taiwan led the way at 151%. Mexico (103%), Canada (44%), Korea (36%) and Puerto Rico (11%) rounded out the top five.

A total of 1,306,414 fans were in attendance for WBC games, which is a 20% increase over the previous record in 2017 of 1,086,720.

Merchandise sales across the four WBC host venues were the highest in the history of the event. Sales of merchandise on MLBShop.com and Fanatics additionally skyrocketed by 149% in comparison to the last tournament in 2017.
