The second 2023 MLB All-Star Game voting update still has Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez on track to represent the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League lineup.

Phase 1 for All-Star Game voting is open until 9 a.m. PT on Thursday, June 22. During this time, fans may select one player for each infield position in both leagues, three outfielders and one designated hitter. A write-in space is also provided for players who are not listed on the All-Star Game ballot.

The top six outfielders and top two vote-getters at all other positions from each league will be unveiled Thursday on MLB Network at 3 p.m. PT, and advance o Phase 2 of voting to determine 2023 MLB All-Star Game starters.

Like in previous years, the leading vote-getter in each league during the first phase will be named an automatic starter. If an outfielder is a league’s leading vote-getter, Phase 2 voting at the position will still take place to determine the remaining two starters among the next four outfield finalists.

Phase 2 of All-Star Game voting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 26, and closes at 4 p.m. on June 29. ESPN will unveil All-Star Game starters later that night.

While the Atlanta Braves’ Ronald Acuña Jr. continues to lead all players with 2,201,468 votes, Betts sits comfortably among all NL outfielders with 1,411,557 votes. The Arizona Diamondbacks’ Corbin Carroll is next with 673,880 votes, as he narrowly pulled ahead of teammate Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (672,779).

Betts remains on track to earn a seventh career All-Star Game selection, and said that would be accompanied by also participating in the 2023 Home Run Derby at T-Mobile Park.

Meanwhile, Freeman is the second-leading vote-getter in the NL at 1,649,166. He sits well ahead of the Braves’ Matt Olson, who moved into second place since the first update at 638,984 votes.

Martinez (879,474) is ahead of Philadelphia Phillies’ Bryce Harper (722,285) to start for the NL in the designated hitter spot.

Will Smith is still in second place among NL catchers, Miguel Vargas remains in fourth at second base, and Max Muncy maintained his standing in third place among third basemen.

The Dodgers were represented in 2022 MLB All-Star Game by Tyler Anderson, Betts, Freeman, Tony Gonsolin, Clayton Kershaw and Trea Turner. Kershaw additionally had the honor of his first career All-Star Game start coming at Dodger Stadium.
