2023 AFL Fall Stars Game: Rosters, Coaches, Start Time & How To Watch

The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is set to play their 17th Fall Stars Game, which is a showcase of baseball’s future stars and some of the game’s top prospects, with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, November 5 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona.

The game will air live on MLB Network and MLB.com, along with the MLB App. Gregg Caserta will handle play-by-play duties, joined by analysts Rubén Amaro Jr. and Jonathan Mayo on the call.

Surprise Saguaros manager Carlos Cardoza of the Houston Astros and Scottsdale Scorpions skipper Marty Malloy of the Philadelphia Phillies, along with their respective coaching staffs, will manage the game since their AFL teams have the best record in their respective leagues at the time of selection.

Cardoza is in his second year as a Fall League coach, having served as an Extra Coach during the Saguaros’ 2022 AFL Championship run. He also was part of the American League’s Fall Stars coaching staff in 2022. Malloy is in his first AFL season and has paced the Scorpions into a current playoff spot.

The American and National League rosters are made up of players from the Mesa Solar Sox (BAL, CHC, HOU, OAK, NYY), Salt River Rafters (ARI, ATL, COL, DET, PIT), Scorpions (LAA, PHI, SF, STL, WSH), Glendale Desert Dogs (BOS, CWS, LAD, MIN, NYM), Peoria Javelinas (CLE, MIA, SD, SEA, TB) and Saguaros (CIN, KC, MIL, TEX, TOR).

In a fan-selected vote, one additional player for each team was added via the “Fall Stars Final 2 Vote.” Max Muncy (Oakland Athletics) and Nasim Nunez (Miami Marlins) were selected as Fall Stars.

Representing the Los Angeles Dodgers are pitchers Ronan Kopp and Kendall Williams. Kopp and Williams were two of eight Dodgers prospects to participate in the AFL this year.
