2022 MLB All-Star Week Los Angeles Schedule & Details

Major League Baseball and the Los Angeles Dodgers recently unveiled the 2022 All-Star Week schedule featuring fan events from Friday, July 15 through Tuesday, July 19 in three iconic locations: Dodger Stadium, L.A. Live, and Santa Monica Pier & Beach.

The Dodgers are hosting the 2022 MLB All-Star Game on July 19, which is now just over one month away. The last Midsummer Classic to take place at Dodger Stadium was in 1980.

The 2022 All-Star Week Los Angeles schedule is filled with an array of events for fans of all ages, and includes some events that are free of charge.

Capital One All-Star Oceanfront

All-Star Week Los Angeles kicks off with its first-ever beach event on Friday, July 15, when Capital One All-Star Oceanfront begins at the Santa Monica Pier & Beach. The event runs through Sunday, July 17, with no admission charge.

Oceanfront will feature casual and instructional youth baseball and softball activities on the beach directly south of the pier. It will also be home to a daily All-Star Yoga class with the Pacific Ocean offering a picturesque backdrop and baseball-themed sand sculptures.

On the pier deck, fans can shop official 2022 All-Star Game merchandise, participate in batting and pitching cages, and play a number of interactive games in a baseball-themed carnival-like setting.

On Saturday, MLB will partner with Heal the Bay, a local nonprofit, for a beach clean-up in Santa Monica. This is part of the league’s continued efforts to promote sustainability and environmental awareness.

MLB Live in DTLA

MLB Live in DTLA gets underway on Saturday, July 6, with Capital One PLAY BALL PARK – the world’s biggest and most playable baseball & softball festival – inside and outside the Los Angeles Convention Center and throughout the L.A. Live campus.

The fan-focused event blends baseball, softball, music, food, technology and fashion with MLB celebrities ranging from Hall of Famers, All-Stars, Olympians, broadcasters and other legends of the game.

Interactive games, clinics, exhibits, exclusive merchandise and autograph stations will be spread throughout the convention center, while other unique fan experiences can be found outdoors around L.A. Live.

Activities outside the convention center are free.

From July 15-19, fans can visit the MLB All-Star Block Party that will be set up at the Gilbert Lindsay Plaza on the doorstep of the convention center. The free event will have more interactive games, free giveaways, music, a beer garden and more.

The 2022 MLB Draft will also take place during MLB Live in DTLA. The first round is scheduled for Sunday night, July 17, on Xbox Plaza and will be televised on MLB Network.

To complete MLB Live in downtown Los Angeles, the All-Star Game red carpet will wrap around from Xbox Plaza onto Chick Hearn Court, leading players through a crowd of fans and media prior to going to Dodger Stadium.

Futures Game & MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game

MLB All-Star Week’s action on the field begins Saturday, July 16 at Dodger Stadium with the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.

An All-Star Game for Minor League players, the Futures Game has featured some of MLB’s top stars before they became Major Leaguers. The MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game will feature stars from stage, screen, music, sports, and the internet along with MLB legends.

Andre Ethier is among those scheduled to play in the Celebrity Softball Game.

T-Mobile Home Run Derby

The T-Mobile Home Run Derby headlines Gatorade All-Star Workout Day on Monday, July 18. ESPN will exclusively televise the 2022 Home Run Derby, and it will also be available on ESPN Radio and the ESPN App.

MLB All-Star Game

The MLB All-Star Game returns to Dodger Stadium for the first time in four decades on Tuesday, July 19. The 2022 Midsummer Classic will join the All-Star Games of 1949, 1959 and 1980 as those hosted by the Dodgers franchise, with the latter two being played in the city of Los Angeles.

The All-Star Game will be televised nationally by FOX Sports, with Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis on the call.
