The 2022 MLB All-Star Game ballot was unveiled Wednesday morning, with voting for Phase 1 open until 11 a.m. PT on June 30.
During Phase 1 of voting for the All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium, fans can complete a ballot up to five times per every 24-hour period. Voting is being held exclusively at MLB.com, all 30 team websites and through the MLB app.
The top two vote-getters at every position, including designated hitter, and the top six outfielders in each league will be revealed at 2 p.m. on June 30 during a live MLB Network special.
The leading vote-getter in each league will be a 2022 All-Star Game starter, while the other players will advance to Phase 2. Should an outfielder be a leading vote-getter, four finalists will advance to the second round of voting to determine who starts in the other two spots.
Voting for Phase 2 of the 92nd Midsummer Classic begins at 9 a.m. on July 5 and ends at 11 a.m. on July 8. Voting totals from Phase 1 do not carry over and fans can only complete one ballot every 24 hours during this period.
Pitchers and reserves for both All-Star teams will be determined by “Player Ballot” choices and selections made by the commissioner’s office. Complete All-Star Game rosters will be announced during a Selection Show on July 10.
Dodgers on All-Star Game ballot
The Los Angeles Dodgers are represented on the initial 2022 All-Star Game ballot by Will Smith, Freddie Freeman, Gavin Lux, Justin Turner, Trea Turner, Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Chris Taylor and Max Muncy.
Brian Snitker is going to manage the National League All-Star team, while Dusty Baker is overseeing the American League roster. The AL team has won eight consecutive Midsummer Classics.
The 2022 MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium is only the second in the ballpark’s history. The first came in 1980, which saw the NL All-Stars earn a 4-2 win.
