Official 2022 LA Dodgers Schedule And Results

The 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers schedule was initially due to begin Thursday, March 31, with an Opening Day matchup against the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium. Still, the ongoing MLB lockout prompted the cancelation of regular-season games.

After a new collective bargaining agreement was not implemented by the March 1 deadline, commissioner Rob Manfred announced the first two series of the regular season. Manfred then canceled an additional two series once another deadline passed.

However, with the new CBA voted on March 10, the Opening Day of the 2022 regular season was set for Thursday, April 7. The initial 2022 Dodgers schedule had that as an off day for travel.

As a result, Opening Day for the Dodgers doesn’t come until Friday, April 8, still in a game with the Rockies. It marks the second consecutive year the two teams meet in a season opener, as they played at Coors Field to begin the 2021 campaign.

This season, MLB has the National League West facing off against the American League Central for Interleague play. That amounts to the likes of the Detroit Tigers, soon-to-be Cleveland Guardians, and Minnesota Twins visiting Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers play Interleague road series against the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals.

And of course, there is the annual Freeway Series with the L.A. Angels, played at both Dodger Stadium (June 14-15) and in Anaheim (July 15-16). The finale at Angel Stadium is the Dodgers’ last game before the All-Star break as they are off Sunday, July 17.

The Home Run Derby is set for July 18, and the 2022 MLB All-Star Game is being played at Dodger Stadium on July 19. The Dodgers and San Francisco Giants then open the unofficial second half of the season at Chavez Ravine on Thursday, July 21.

The Dodgers also are at home for several 2022 holiday dates, including matchups with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Memorial Day (May 30), Guardians on Father’s Day (June 19), Rockies on the 4th of July, and Giants on Labor Day (Sept. 5).

L.A. and the San Diego Padres will play five of their six series during the 2022 season on a weekend. The first matchup comes at Petco Park for a three-game set from April 22-24, though the Padres don’t visit Dodger Stadium until June 30-July 3 for a four-game series.

Next season, the lone weekday series between the Dodgers and Padres is September 27-29 at Petco Park.

The Dodgers conclude the 2022 regular season at home with a weekend set against the Rockies from Sept. 30-Oct. 2. Their most extended road trip of the year is 10 games across a series with the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals, and Arizona Diamondbacks during May.
