Although the MLB lockout remains in place, the 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training cap by New Era has been released, along with the version for St. Patrick’s Day.
The New Era 59FIFTY Spring Training cap is available for purchase, and the Dodgers again are due to sport a blue lid with their “LA” logo embroidered on the front and Cactus League logo on the right panel.
However, the 2022 hat differs from recent years in that most of it is constructed with see-through mesh. The trucker mesh mid and rear panels are accompanied by team-color polyester. The 2022 Spring Training hats display embroidered tonal team logos in the front and MLB logo on the backside.
Also released was the St. Patrick’s Day version of the 2022 Spring Training hat.
“We love how spring training gives us the opportunity to celebrate the storied tradition of baseball while also providing the freshness that comes with a new season,” New Era Cap director of licensed products Tim Shannahan said in a statement.
“This collection provides exactly that, delivering a new look for each of the teams. As fans across the country warm up for baseball’s return, they’ll be able to see their favorite players sporting these caps at spring training with their own chance to rep their team with this brand-new style.”
Because of the MLB lockout, the Dodgers did not begin their Cactus League schedule until Friday, March 18. That left them with 18 Spring Training games to play, which includes the exhibition Freeway Series after breaking camp at Camelback Ranch.
Dodgers’ Opening Day 2022
Furthermore, the Dodgers’ Opening Day of the 2022 season is April 8 with a road matchup against the Colorado Rockies.
