By coming from behind against the San Diego Padres on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers finished the 2022 season with a franchise-record 54 road wins. The team already set their single-season wins record when they reached 107.

L.A. collected their 50th road win of the season on Sept. 16 to tie them with the 1974 team (50-31) for the franchise record since moving from Brooklyn. The 2022 Dodgers then broke the franchise record for most road wins in a single season that previously belonged to the 1952 Brooklyn club that went 51-24 away from Ebbets Field.

The Dodgers taking the rubber match of the series at Petco Park gave them a .666 winning percentage (54-27) away from Dodger Stadium. It also extended the franchise record as their 108th win of the season.

They additionally finished the year with a +190 run differential on the road, which is the fourth-highest mark in MLB history and the highest since the 1939 New York Yankees posted a +290 road differential. Only two teams in MLB currently have a total run differential better than the Dodgers do on the road, the Yankees (+235) and the Houston Astros (+212).

The Dodgers’ road run differential would also rank second in the National League behind their overall differential (+325) and ahead of the second-place Atlanta Braves (+179) and third-place New York Mets (+156). L.A. is one of 10 clubs in MLB history to reach a +300 run differential in a season and they would be the first team since the 2001 Seattle Mariners to finish the season at +300 or better.

The Dodgers saw their longest road winning streak of the season come between July 31 and Aug. 4, when they rattled off five consecutive victories away from Dodger Stadium. It started against the Colorado Rockies and carreid into a four-game sweep against the San Francisco Giants.

That stretch was also the start of their season-long winning streak that saw them take 12 consecutive games. The Dodgers also had four different winning streaks of four games on the road.

Dodgers have chance at Dodger Stadium wins record

With a 54-21 at home this season and six games remaining, the Dodgers could set a new record for the most wins at Dodger Stadium in franchise history.

That mark is currently held by the 2019 team that posted a 59-22 record at Dodger Stadium. They broke the record set by the 2017 Dodgers that won 57 games at Chavez Ravine.
