Voting for the 2021 MLB All-Star Game at Coors Field opened Thursday morning with Phase 1 running through 1 p.m. PT on June 24. Like in 2019, MLB All-Star Game voting will comprise of two phases of fan voting.

Phase 1 of All-Star Game voting is being used to determine the top three vote-getters at every position in each league, with the exception of the outfield, where the top nine vote-getters will advance to Phase 2.

Fans can access the MLB All-Star Game ballot at MLB.com, all 30 team sites, and the MLB and MLB Ballpark apps. It is also available on Google search (United States and Canada only), where fans can vote for any player simply by entering their name (for example, “Clayton Kershaw”) and be taken directly to their section of the ballot.

Fans also can go directly to the Google ballot or enter searches such as “MLB vote” or “MLB All-Star vote” in the search bar. These searches will trigger a full All-Star ballot within the search results.

Voting can be submitted up to five ballots per 24 hours on MLB platforms. Through Google, fans can complete one full ballot and vote for every position, or vote for up to 17 unique players per day. A specific player can only be voted for once per day via the Google ballot.

All-Star Game voting updates will be provided on June 14 and June 21. Those who advance will be announced during the MLB All-Star Ballot Finalists Show on Sunday, June 27, on MLB Network.

Phase 2 then opens Monday, June 28, and runs through Thursday, July 1. Fans can submit just one ballot on MLB platforms and may submit up to 17 unique player votes during Phase 2.

Fan voting remains responsible for determining American League and National League starters in the All-Star Game. ESPN will air an MLB All-Star Starters Reveal at 6 p.m. PT on July 1.

All-Star Game reserves and entire rosters will then be announced during a selection show on ESPN on July 4.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will guide the NL team, and Tampa Bay Rays skipper Kevin Cash leads AL All-Stars.

2021 MLB All-Star Game moved

In response to new voting restrictions passed by Georgia legislation, MLB elected to move the 2021 All-Star Game to Denver. The Colorado Rockies are hosting the Midsummer Classic for just the second time in franchise history.

This year’s event is intertwined with the 2021 MLB Draft, which is being held from July 11-13 in Denver as well.

All-Star Game extra innings

Should a winner not be decided in nine innings, the runner on second base rule will be in effect for extra innings. Furthermore, players who had already been removed from the game will be permitted to re-enter as baserunners.
