The Los Angeles Dodgers roster for their National League Division Series matchup with the San Francisco Giants includes 14 position players and 12 pitchers.
Walker Buehler is among the most notable changes from the Dodgers’ postseason roster for the Wild Card Game. He was left off due to effectively being unavailable after pitching on the last day of the regular season.
Now Buehler makes his 2021 postseason debut with a start in Game 1 at Oracle Park, and he looks to help the Dodgers possibly build on momentum from their walk-off win.
David Price also was added to the NLDS roster after being left off against the St. Louis Cardinals. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained that was largely a matter of opponent and St. Louis being a heavy right-handed lineup.
Julio Urias was available out of the bullpen in the Wild Card Game, but the Dodgers previously only had Alex Vesia as a true left-handed relief pitcher who was active.
With Buehler and Price now active, Zach McKinstry and Luke Raley were removed. Billy McKinney and Steven Souza Jr. remain among the bench depth for a second time despite neither finishing the regular season up with the Dodgers.
