Major League Baseball and the Miami Marlins officially unveiled the logo for the 2017 All-Star Game. The 88th Midsummer Classic will be played July 11, 2017 in a National League park a third consecutive time of what’s going to be a four-year run.
The All-Star Game logo incorporates a vibrant color scheme that perfectly matches the décor inside Marlins Park. The star in the log is topped with a stylized marlin to lend further association to the Marlins playing host to the event.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred gave the logo rave reviews during the unveiling ceremony and so too did Marlins president David Samson, who pointed to its hue as a strong representation of the Miami community.
Marlins season ticket holders have first priority and are guaranteed access to purchasing a ticket to the 2017 All-Star Game. All other fans can register for an opportunity for the chance to be selected to purchase tickets. Complete ticket information can be viewed here.
In addition to the Midsummer Classic, the stretch of days will include a FanFest at the Miami Beach Convention Center, a parade, red carpet festivities, community outreach events, All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, All-Star Futures Game and the Home Run Derby.
Miami hosts its first MLB All-Star Game in what will be the Marlins’ 25th season as a Major League franchise. The Washington Nationals have already been awarded the 2018 All-Star Game. The Los Angeles Dodgers’ first and only time hosting an All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium came in 1980.
