2016 World Series Schedule, Start Times And TV Info

While the Cleveland Indians await an opponent in the 2016 World Series, Major League Baseball announced the start times and TV information for the 2016 Fall Classic.

The Indians are hosting Games 1 and 2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Progressive Field will also be the site for Games 6 and 7, if necessary, on Nov. 1 and 2. First pitch for each of those games is set for 5:08 p.m. PT.

That’s also the start for Games 3 and 4, which will be played at Wrigley Field. If necessary, Game 5, will also be hosted by the Chicago Cubs and is slated for a a 5:15 p.m. start on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The Cubs eliminated the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games in the National League Championship Series. Chicago advanced to their first World Series since 1945.

For the Indians, this marks the first time in franchise history they are hosting the opener of the World Series. Overall, it’s Cleveland’s sixth trip to the Fall Classic, and first since 1997.

That year the Indians were defeated in seven games by the then-Florida Marlins. The Indians have come up short in their past three trips to the World Series. Prior to that, they were crowned champions in 1920 and 1948.
