2016 NLCS: How To Watch Cubs, Dodgers Online

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs open the 2016 National League Championship Series on Saturday night, with Games 1 and 2 scheduled for 5:08 p.m. PT starts at Wrigley Field. The series will shift to Dodger Stadium for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

First pitch for both games at Chavez Ravine is also set for 5:08 p.m., and so too is Game 5 at Wrigley Field should the series reach that point. The entire NLCS will be nationally televised on FOX or Fox Sports 1.

Games 1 through 5 will air on FS1. Joe Buck will handle play-by-play duties and be joined by analyst John Smoltz, with Ken Rosenthal reporting from the dugouts.

To watch the Dodgers and Cubs online, one option is via the Fox Sports Go app, which can be downloaded in iTunes, the Google Play store, and the Windows store. Games can also be streamed at foxsportsgo.com.

However, viewers are required to sign in with their TV provider account in the aforementioned instance.

An alternative for those without a cable subscription is signing up for Sling TV as the streaming service recently added FS1 as well as the network’s regional and local affiliates, and Playstion Vue.

Los Angeles last reached the NLCS in 2013 when they were eliminated in six games by the St. Louis Cardinals. Chicago played for the NL pennant last year, and were swept by the New York Mets.

The postseason meeting between the Dodgers and Cubs is just the second all-time. Los Angeles swept the Cubs in the 2008 NLDS.

Kenta Maeda and Jon Lester start in Game 1, with Clayton Kershaw and Kyle Hendricks slated for Game 2, and Rich Hill and Jake Arrieta set to duel in Game 3. John Lackey is the fourth starter in the Cubs’ rotation, while Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Saturday the club has not yet decided on a Game 4 starter.

Julio Urias presumably is the frontrunner, though series standing figures to dictate who takes the mound for Los Angeles on Wednesday.
