The season is more than half way over so it’s time to take a look at how Los Angeles Dodgers prospects have changed their standing thus far. Naturally, with Corey Seager firmly entrenched in the Majors, he no longer is a prospect per se.
That’s opened the door for Julio Urias to move up a spot from the preseason rankings. Urias went 1-2 with a 4.95 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 44 strikeouts over eight starts (36.1 innings pitched) with the Dodgers.
He’s since been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where Urias is working as a relief pitcher and starter. The domino effect of Seager coming off the list also moves up Jose De Leon up, among others.
