2017 MLB Draft: Dodgers’ Top Pick Locked In At No. 23 Overall
Dodgers 2017 Top Prospects: Newcomer Aneurys Zabala Debuts In Nos. 31-40

With Jose Bautista and Mark Trumbo signing contracts within the past week, the 2017 MLB Draft order is officially set. Bautista and Trumbo were the final two free agents who were extended the qualifying offer this offseason.

A total of 10 players received the one-year offer, with only Jeremy Hellickson and Neil Walker accepting the $17.2 million deal. Five re-signed with their original team, including Los Angeles Dodgers’ Kenley Jansen and Justin Turner.

The trio of Ian Desmond, Edwin Encarnacion and Dexter Fowler rejected their qualifying offers and signed with other teams, causing some movement in the 2017 Draft order, with the Colorado Rockies (11th overall), St. Louis Cardinals (19th) and Cleveland Indians (25th) all forfeiting their top pick.

Now that the dust has settled, the Dodgers’ top pick in the 2017 Draft is No. 23 overall. They also hold the No. 62 overall pick (second round) and No. 100 overall (third round). Complete 2017 MLB Draft order included below.
