Zyhir Hope was named Texas League Player of the Week for games spanning June 30-July 5, when the Tulsa Drillers faced the Wichita Wind Surge (Minnesota Twins affiliate).
Hope is the second Dodgers prospect on the Drillers roster to earn weekly honors in the Texas League this season, as Josue De Paula earned the honor at the end of May. De Paula also was named Texas League Player of the Month for May.
While appearing in all six road games for the period he was recognized, Hope batted .519/.563/.963 with three doubles, three home runs, 10 runs scored and 13 RBI. After going 1-for-4 in the Drillers’ 11-8 win in June 30, Hope had one extra-base hit in the next five games. Included in that was hitting a home run three consecutive games.
On July 3, Hope tied a season high with six RBI. He previously reached that mark on June 2.
Following his big week, Hope now leads the Texas League with 71 RBI this season. He additionally ranks third in the league with 87 hits, sixth in homers with 16, and sixth in runs scored with 53. Hope’s .505 slugging percentage is fifth in the Texas League.
Furthermore, he enters play Tuesday already with a career high in home runs and is 10 RBI from a new best mark. Hope’s previous high in home run was the 13 he hit last season while playing for High-A Great Lakes and the Drillers, and that was also when he finished with 80 RBI.
Hope among Dodgers prospects ranked
De Paula and Hope were part of several Dodgers prospects to be included on the MLB Pipeline top 100 and other rankings heading into the 2026 season. They maintained that presence and were joined by more young talent on MLB Pipeline’s midseason update.
De Paula was the first Dodgers prospect to appear on the list, checking in at No. 4 overall. Mike Sirota was ranked 11th, Hope at No. 19, Jose Quintero is No. 32, Emil Morales checked in at No. 48, River Ryan is 71st, Charles Davalan is No. 88, Christian Zazueta debuted at No. 91, and James Tibbs III was ranked No. 97.
Despite a highly-rated farm system, the Dodgers are said to be in search of adding prospects at the trade deadline to fill out their organizational depth.
