After a pair of record-setting affairs, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks are back on the field Saturday as their four-game series continues. Opening Day saw the Dodgers set an MLB record with eight home runs, and the following night brought about the longest regular-season home game in franchise history.

Despite playing every out of the 13-inning loss that went six hours and five minutes, Corey Seager remains in the lineup. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts outlined a plan to play Seager in stretches of three consecutive games before receiving one off, but it was fair to wonder if the marathon night would change matters.

That Seager is still starting is an encouraging sign of his physical condition. The same applies to Justin Turner, who was hit by a pitch in the same spot on his left wrist that was fractured last year.

They’re back to hitting second and third, respectively, in a Dodgers lineup that will look to provide run support for Kenta Maeda. He had a strong showing in spring and looks to add to what’s been stellar pitching by Dodgers starters.

Hyun-Jin Ryu and Ross Stripling combined for 13 strikeouts and held the Diamondbacks to one run over 11.1 innings.

The Diamondbacks counter with Zack Godley, who is coming of a career-best 15-win season. Godley had a modest Spring Training and one that was thrown off by a rocky debut.
