The Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals didn’t get a primetime television slot for Games 1 and 2 of their National League Division Series, and that will at least hold true for Game 3 at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers will play host the Nationals on Monday, with first pitch slated for 1:08 p.m. PT or 3:08 p.m. PT. The start time will be determined by the number of games scheduled that day. If there are three or four games on the docket, the Dodgers and Nationals will begin at 1:08 p.m. PT.
If both ALDS series end in sweeps, Game 3 of the NLDS between the Dodgers and Nationals will start a 3:08 p.m. PT. The Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians did their part on Friday, with each taking a 2-0 series lead.
If necessary, Game 4 between the Dodgers and Nationals will be played on Tuesday at 2:05 p.m. PT, unless the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants NLDS matchup ends with a sweep.
In that event, the Dodgers and Nationals would play a potential Game 4 at 5:08 p.m. PT. Should the series go to the distance, Game 5 at Nationals Park would start at 2:05 p.m. PT or 5:08 p.m. PT.
Again, it hinges on what unfolds between the Cubs and Giants. If they too require a Game 5, the Dodgers and Nationals will start their winner-take-all contest at 2:05 p.m. PT.
