Jaime Jarrín Foundation Hosting NLDS Watch Party To Unveil New Mexican Lager

3 Min Read

Coinciding with the National League Division Series shifting to Dodger Stadium, the Jaime & Blanca Jarrín Foundation (JBJF) is hosting a watch party on Wednesday at Pro-Five Brewing Company in Upland, Calif.

Fans are invited to join Jarrín and his foundation, beginning at 5 p.m. PT, ahead of the 6:08 p.m. start time for Game 3 between the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Customers in attendance will get an opportunity to be among the first to try a new Mexican lager created in recognition of the longtime Spanish voice of the Dodgers. Proceeds from sales of “La Voz” will support the foundation’s scholarship efforts.

Jarrín’s beer is currently only available at Pro-Five Brewing Company, but a spokesperson for the Jaime & Blanca Jarrín Foundation told DodgerBlue.com that wider distribution is expected in the near future.

Jarrín became the Dodgers’ Spanish-language play-by-play announcer in 1959 and held the role for 64 years before retiring after the 2022 season. Jarrín has remained connected to the Dodgers organization by participating in various events and initiatives.

He recently was celebrated among the long-time employees with at least 25 years of service with the Dodgers, and received the fourth annual Tommy Lasorda I Bleed Dodger Blue Award.

Jaime Jarrín’s foundation

Since its inception, the Jaime and Blanca Jarrín Foundation has raised more than $225,000 in scholarship funds and remains committed to uplifting the next generation of Latino leaders.

In August, the foundation recognized scholarship recipients and celebrated Nomar Garciaparra and Jon SooHoo during its annual Wine Night at Dodger Stadium.
