Landon Knack Joining Dodgers Roster For Role In Series Finale Vs. Marlins

3 Min Read

The Los Angeles Dodgers once again are dealing with a rash of pitcher injuries that among other factors, have taken Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow out of the starting rotation for the time being.

Coupled with currently playing 10 games in a row without an off day, it’s prompted the Dodgers to adjust the schedules of Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki this week, resulting each of the right-handers having one fewer day of rest between outings.

Before getting to that point against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Dodgers are planning a bullpen game for the finale of their series with the Miami Marlins.

According to Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Landon Knack is going to be part of the team’s pitching plan on Wednesday:

The Dodgers already used a bullpen game of sorts on Monday with Ben Casparius filling the bulk role after Jack Dreyer pitched 1.1 innings as an opener.

Knack is already with the Dodgers at loanDepot Park but he will need to be added onto the active roster on Wednesday. He presumably could take the place of J.P. Feyereisen, who was just recalled. Yoendrys Gómez was designated for assignment in order for the Dodgers to add Feyereisen to the bullpen.

It was one of two moves the Dodgers made before their game against the Marlins, as Teoscar Hernández landed on the 10-day injured list with a left groin strain and James Outman was recalled.

Landon Knack’s 2025 stats

Knack has appeared in three games (two starts) for the Dodgers so far in 2025, going 1-0 with a 7.27 ERA and 1.73 WHIP. His ERA is inflated from allowing five runs to the Washington Nationals in just 2.1 innings pitched on April 9.

Knack otherwise has allowed two runs or fewer in his other two games with L.A. He last pitched for the team on April 15.

In his time with Oklahoma City, the right-hander is 1-0 with a 3.98 ERA in four games (three starts).
