The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Ryan Loutos and optioned Noah Davis ahead of their series opener against the New York Mets. It was part of a series of roster moves that also included the Dodgers trading Joe Jacques to the Seattle Mariners for Will Klein and designating Chris Stratton for assignment.

Davis was recalled on Sunday as the corresponding move for Luis Garcia landing on the 15-day injured list with an adductor strain. Davis tossed two innings in the loss, striking out two in two scoreless innings.

He has thrown 4.2 innings for the Dodgers this season, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits with five strikeouts, two walks and a 1.29 WHIP.

In Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 2-0 with a 5.75 ERA in 14 games.

The 27-year-old has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with the Colorado Rockies (2022-24) and Dodgers (2025), going 0-5 with a 7.55 ERA in 22 games.

The Southern California native was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of UC Santa Barbara.

Ryan Loutos joins Dodgers

Loutos pitched one inning for the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits in his first stint with the club on May 16. He was optioned the following day to make room for Clayton Kershaw.

Loutos has pitched 3.1 innings in his career, allowing two runs on five hits with one strikeout. Over five Minor League seasons, he owns a 4.68 ERA with 256 strikeouts in 231 innings.

He was an undrafted free agent signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2021.

The Dodgers acquired the 26-year-old in a trade with the Cardinals on May 1 for cash considerations after he was designated for assignment.

The right-hander made his MLB debut with the Cardinals last season and pitched 2.1 scoreless innings over three appearances.
