The Los Angeles Dodgers transferred Connor Brogdon to the 60-day injured list as part of a series of roster moves prior to their series finale against the Cincinnati Reds.

Brogdon was first placed on the 15-day IL with right plantar fasciitis on April 13, which was backdated to April 10.

He made his Dodger debut on April 9, allowing two runs in one inning of work.

Brogdon was acquired on April 6 from the Philadelphia Phillies for Minor League pitcher Benony Robles after the right-hander was designated for assignment on April 2.

Brogdon was a key contributor for the Phillies during their 2022 World Series run. He also posted a solid 2021 season, but he has regressed since finding success.

In four appearances with the Philadelphia Phillies and Dodgers this season, he has allowed eight runs on five hits in three innings.

Brogdon went 10-8 with a 3.88 ERA in 142 games (two starts) over parts of five seasons with the Phillies. He has fanned 146 batters in 144 innings while limiting hitters to a .235 batting average against.

In four appearances with the Philadelphia Phillies and Dodgers this season, he has allowed eight runs on five hits in three innings.

Brogdon had no Minor League options remaining, so the Dodgers needed to add him to their active roster, or designate him for assignment after the trade.

He was drafted by the Phillies in 2017 in the 10th round of the First Year Player Draft out of Lewis-Clark State.

Connor Brogdon makes room for Anthony Banda

To replace Brogdon on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers added Anthony Banda and called him up to the Major League club. In addition, Landon Knack was also recalled, and he is set to start the final game.

The Dodgers optioned Ricky Vanasco and J.P. Feyereisen to make room on the active roster for the two pitchers.

Banda was acquired on May 17 from the Cleveland Guardians for cash considerations.
