The Los Angeles Dodgers collectively and individually have a long history of giving back to the community, and Chris Taylor and Mookie Betts the latest examples.

Taylor’s CT3 Foundation hosted a “Driving For Hope” event at Topgolf El Segundo to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Next up is Betts’ 5050 Foundation putting together a first annual bowling event at Lucky Strike L.A. Live in downtown.

Tickets to the event start at $500 for general admission, which includes drinks, food, red carpet access and a viewing area to watch the bowling tournament.

Betts is providing fans with an opportunity to gain entry at a lower cost through an Instagram raffle to further raise money for his foundation.

Betts’ first annual charity event in Downtown L.A. is on Wednesday, February 8, from 6 p.m.-11 p.m. PT at Lucky Strike.

Betts is expected to be joined by many friends for the event, with all proceeds benefitting his charity, The 5050 Foundation, which strives to bring out “every kid’s incredible potential.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available, with the option to contribute a flat-rate donation that will go toward the purchase of toys for kids.

The 5050 Foundation has a mission of “breaking the barriers that hold kids back, especially when it comes to their medical and financial needs. The Foundation is empowering the next generation to make the most of their lives – and make a bigger difference in our world.”

Betts recently hosted a charity bowling event in Nashville, with numerous professional sports icons, including Jerome Bettis and Eddie George, attending.

Mookie Betts ranked by The Shredder

Heading into the 2023 season, Betts was ranked the No. 2 right fielder in baseball by MLB Network’s The Shredder. It marked an eighth consecutive year Betts was recognized by The Shredder, with each of those coming as ranked in the top five.

MLB Network analysts Mike Petriello and Vince Gennaro also ranked Betts at No. 2 behind Aaron Judge, and Sarah Langs placed him third after the reigning American League MVP and Bryce Harper.
