The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Dylan Baker in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, which will be finalized at a later date when Milwaukee receives cash considerations or a player to be named later. The acquisition brings the Dodgers’ 40-man roster full.

It was previously reported on Tuesday that Los Angeles had claimed Baker off waivers. The right-hander was designated for assignment by the Cleveland Indians, then claimed off waivers by the Brewers, only to be released again.

Baker was selected by the Indians in the fifth round of the 2012 Draft. The 25-year-old has yet to advance past Double-A, where he pitched this past season.

In 12.2 innings across 13 games for Akron, Baker went 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA and 1.26 WHIP while striking out 10 and walking just one. He was 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in four games (two starts) for the Indians’ rookie level affiliate.

Over parts of five Minor League seasons, Baker is a career 12-11 with a 3.58 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 65 games (48 starts). He missed the entire 2016 season, and was limited to just six games and one game, in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Baker suffered a broken fibula at the outset of the 2014 season, underwent Tommy John surgery after one game in 2015, and had multiple forearm/elbow surgeries in 2016.

Baker was called up last September and placed on the 60-day disabled list in order to create needed space on the Indians’ 40-man roster.
