2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour: Tyler Glasnow, Bobby Miller & Tony Gonsolin Visit Jack In The Box

3 Min Read

The 2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour has focused on those impacted by the Southern California wildfires, and Thursday alone saw three separate stops that highlighted all aspects of that.

In the morning, Freddie Freeman led a reading session and participated in a Q&A at Brentwood Science Magnet School, which has taken on students from Palisades Elementary School because it was destroyed by the wildfire.

Then in the early afternoon, Shohei Ohtani, Ben Casparius and Emmet Sheehan met with first responders at Fire Station 69 in the Pacific Palisades.

Later in the day, the Dodgers community tour rolled into a Jack in the Box location in Pasadena, where Tyler Glasnow, Tony Gonsolin and Bobby Miller greeted and served fans.

All three pitchers spent time taking photos with fans and rotated working a shift in the drive-thru window.

“It’s a lot harder than I thought. I’m not going to lie,” Miller said of the experience. “To put on the headset and be able to tell what everyone is saying, it’s a pretty tough job. I had help doing it, so I wasn’t all by myself.

“I probably would’ve gotten a couple (orders) wrong if I was just by myself. We got them their food in time.”

While the Dodgers have collectively worked to give back to communities impacted by the wildfires, the devastation hits particularly close to home for Glasnow, a Santa Clarita native.

“I think having this at a location so close to an area that’s affected, it’s show our face to let people know that we’ll do whatever we can to help,” Glasnow said.

Tyler Glasnow’s message for first responders

Glasnow was not with the Dodgers for their trip to the fire stations in the Pacific Palisades, but they, along with other firefighters are not far from his mind.

“You guys are heroes. I can’t imagine what you’re going through,” Glasnow said of the first responders. “We’ll do anything we can do to help.”
