After the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers split the first two games of the World Series, it’s now down to a best-of-five, with the next three games to be played at Minute Maid Park. A sweep this weekend would give the Astros their first World Series in franchise history.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers are looking to claim their first championship since 1988. The World Series matchup between two teams that won at least 100 games during the regular season is a first since the 1970 Fall Classic.
All World Series games are being televised exclusively on FOX, but there are several live stream options available as well. One of which is through YouTube TV via a partnership agreement MLB reach with parent company YouTube.
A subscription service through YouTube TV, which includes live local feeds of major networks, is priced at $35 per month. Though, they are currently offering a free 30-day trial.
Sling TV, which offers several subscription packages, is another option but whether a live feed of FOX is available is based on a consumer’s market. Sling TV offers a seven-day trial at no cost.
Playstation Vue also does not require a contract and has the same trial period as Sling TV. But similar live programming issues may arise, as it’s limited to certain markets. Going this route requires selecting a plan that includes FOX.
DirecTV Now, priced at $35 per month, includes FOX and is also available for a week’s worth of a free trial. Availability of local TV stations that can be streamed live varies on area.
Hulu with Live TV includes the first month free but is $40 thereafter. Additionally, channels Hulu will live stream is dependent on market.
The MLB.com At Bat app is a viable option for those with a subscription through a cable TV provider. Furthermore, only certain cable providers are participating partners with MLB to live stream the World Series.
