After edging out a 4-3 win in Thursday’s opener at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers continue their four-game series with the San Francisco Giants.

L.A. is undefeated in four matchups against their longtime rival this season, which includes a three-game sweep at Oracle Park last week.

Walker Buehler makes a second consecutive start against the Giants and looks to replicate the success he enjoyed in his last outing on May 22. He improved to 3-0 on the season after allowing just one run and six hits in seven innings pitched.

Buehler has posted an 2.78 ERA, 3.34 FIP and 0.89 WHIP with 59 strikeouts against eight walks in 58.1 innings this year (nine starts) and has logged at least six innings in each outing.

“That’s been a theme of my career and something I’ve always wanted to do better, is to go deeper into games,” Buehler said. “A lot of that is the pitch calling and guys behind the plate getting me into counts that I can throw pitches and get the ball in play, so hat’s off to them more than anything.”

He owns a perfect 5-0 record with a 2.68 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in eight games against the Giants.

San Francisco counters with Anthony DeSclafani, who is coming off one of the worst starts of his career against L.A. last Sunday. In just 2.2 innings of work, he allowed 13 baserunners and 10 runs.

DeSclafani dropped to 4-2, but still maintains a respectable 3.54 ERA, 3.55 FIP and 1.09 WHIP in 56 frames this season (10 starts). The right-hander is 1-6 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in seven career starts against the Dodgers.
