Dodgers Unveil Shaq Bobblehead Design

4 Min Read

When the 2026 Los Angeles Dodgers bobbleheads schedule was released, it featured a slew of dates for some of the team’s star players in addition to others outside the organization.

Chief among some of the more unique Dodgers bobbleheads planned for this year is another of Ice Cube, plus Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal and LAFC star Son Heung-min.

Dodgers’ Shaq bobblehead giveaway

For O’Neal, he’s following in the footsteps of former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant receiving a Dodgers bobblehead last year. But unlike Bryant, the design of the Shaq bobblehead has him in a Dodgers basketball uniform.

The Kobe bobblehead tied in baseball by the trinket featuring his Nike Kobe 6 protro ‘Dodgers’ shoe and holding a baseball bat. The inspiration was taken from a picture Dodgers team photographer Jon SooHoo took of Bryant during Lakers media day.

The O’Neal bobblehead portrays him in a No. 34 white Dodgers basketball jersey and matching shorts. He’s atop a circular base and holding basketball under his right arm. Along the blue base is a text display of O’Neal’s full name.

O’Neal spent eight seasons with the Lakers, winning three of his four career NBA championships. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 class.

The Shaquille O’Neal bobblehead giveaway at Dodger Stadium is planned for Saturday, June 20. It will be available for the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance, while supplies last at the guest’s point of entry.

The policy is in line with other Dodgers bobbleheads and giveaways that are not Shohei Ohtani items. For Ohtani bobbleheads, the Dodgers distribute 50,000 in effort to provide one for every in attendance and help avoid long lines outside Dodger Stadium.
