The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired outfielder Victor Roache from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The trade was first announced by the Brewers.

Roache was not on Milwaukee’s 40-man roster and therefore doesn’t require the Dodgers to make a corresponding move to their 40-man. The 25-year-old was selected in the 25th round of the 2009 Draft by the Detroit Tigers, but elected to attend Georgia Southern University.

Roache was then drafted 28th overall by the Brewers in 2012. He hit just .176/.238/.230 with four doubles, two RBI, and had two stolen bases over 80 games with Double-A Biloxi.

The 25-year-old previously played for Biloxi over parts of the past two seasons. During his three years at the Double-A level, Roache hit .234/.313/.391 with 26 doubles, four triples, 12 home runs, 58 RBI and six stolen bases in 140 games.

Roache has batted a combined .240/.313/.416 with 68 doubles, 12 triples, 62 home runs and 222 RBI in 444 games over five Minor League seasons.

Roache has played both corner outfield positions since beginning his career with the Brewers, though the bulk of the time has come in left field — 350 career games (232 starts), compared to nine games (eight starts) in right field.
