Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner is hosting his first annual golf tournament at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, Calif.

Presented by the Los Angeles Dream Center, the Justin Turner Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Registration for the event ends on Jan. 29. An individual ticket can be purchased for $1,500, with a foursome priced at $5,000, and several sponsorship packages are available.

Each team of four will consist of three registrants and a Dodgers player or celebrity. All of the proceeds raised will support The Dream Center’s Veterans Program.

Additionally, Turner is raffling off spots to be part of his foursome. Five, 10, 25, 75, 150 and 400 tickets can be purchased for the raffle. More information can be found on Justinturnergolfclassic.com.

Turner’s charitable work with the LA Dream Center over the past three years includes visiting local hospitals, participating in a Christmas toy drive, hosting guests at Dodger Stadium and more.

As for on-the-field matters, Turner isn’t one to take much time off for rest. Thus, he expressed some frustration with not being able to keep to his usual offseason schedule due to undergoing micofracture surgery on his left knee.

However, the 31 year old was recently cleared to begin swinging a bat and is continuing to progress with his recovery. “Everything has been right on schedule as planned,” Turner told David Vassegh on Dodger Talk.

Turner is expected to make a fully recovery in time for Spring Training. Position players must report to Camelback Ranch by Feb. 24.
