While there remains plenty of anticipation over what the Los Angeles Dodgers may do to their Major League roster by way of trades or free-agent signings, the organization has worked to fill out their Minor League depth.
Earlier in the week they signed former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Shane Peterson to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training. That’s since been followed by the re-signing of Daniel Corcino and signing of Paulo Orlando to a Minor League deal.
That Peterson and Orlando are both outfielders is hardly a coincidence, as the Dodgers’ depth at the position was trimmed into with the trade that sent Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig to the Cincinnati Reds.
Moreover, Alex Verdugo continues to be mentioned in trade rumors. Looking to further fill out their crop of Minor League outfielders, the Dodgers signed Cameron Perkins, according to J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group:

Perkins was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth round of the 2012 Draft. He made his MLB debut with the club in 2017 and appeared in 42 games. Perkins managed just six hits in and five walks in 97 plate appearances but did have five doubles and one home run.
With Triple-A Tacoma of the Seattle Mariners organization, Perkins batted .257/.312/.420 with 25 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 48 RBI over 94 games this past season.
