The Los Angeles Dodgers activated Ryan Brasier off the 60-day injured list and optioned Michael Grove to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

No corresponding roster move was needed to reinstate Brasier due to there being one open spot on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster that now is full.

Brasier had been on the IL since April 28 with a right calf strain. The expectation when he suffered the injury was he would be out for a few months, and that ended up being the case.

Before going on the IL, Brasier appeared in 12 games for the Dodgers, striking out 12 batters in 11.2 innings while posting a 4.63 ERA and 5.23 FIP with a 1.11 WHIP.

During his rehab assignment, he made eight appearances for OKC, going 2-0 without allowing a run and 12 strikeouts.

He is in his second season with the Dodgers and has gone a combined 2-0 with a 1.61 ERA in 51 games thanks to a dominant stint with the club in 2023.

The Texas native has been in the Majors parts of eight seasons with Los Angeles-AL (2013), Boston (2018-2023) and Los Angeles-NL (2023-24) and he is a combined 9-8 with a 3.91 ERA and 10 saves.

Brasier should step back into a high-leverage role for the club and provides some much-needed relief to a bullpen that has been overworked and struggling.

Grove allowed two runs in 0.1 innings last night while walking two hitters. He appeared in five games since returning from the injured list and allowed three runs in 4.1 innings with four strikeouts.

The 27-year-old is 4-3 on the season with a 5.18 ERA in 33 games for the Dodgers.

He has made 58 appearances (20 starts) for the Dodgers over three seasons, going 7-6 with a 5.53 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 140.0 innings.

Bobby Miller joins Ryan Brasier on Dodgers roster

In addition to adding Brasier back to their roster, the Dodgers also recalled Bobby Miller and optioned Justin Wrobleski to Triple-A.

Miller is scheduled to start the game today against the St. Louis Cardinals. The right-hander has not had much success this season, but due to the recent injury to Tyler Glasnow, Miller was needed to start games once agian.
