LG Electronics USA was named a technology partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers under a new three-year partnership that was recently announced.

The partnership establishes LG as a marketing partner for the Dodgers’ regular-season home games and, subject to MLB, throughout postseason games at Dodger Stadium as well. With the partnership, fans will see in-game LG branding, digital and social media integrations, and interactive brand activations in the center field plaza.

LG also is going to collaborate with the Dodgers on community engagement initiatives throughout Southern California.

“The Dodgers continue to set the standard for excellence on and off the field, and we’re proud to welcome LG Electronics USA as a Proud Technology Partner,” Dodgers senior vice president of global partnerships Lorenzo Sciarrino said in a statement.

“LG’s display technology helps elevate the Dodger Stadium experience for millions of fans each season, while this expanded partnership creates exciting new opportunities to engage our fans through innovative technology and memorable experiences.”

The partnership builds on LG’s existing presence at Dodger Stadium, as their commercial display technology already powers 771 feet of LED ribbon boards, to deliver live game updates, player stats, entertainment and sponsor content.

“Our collaboration with the Dodgers represents the convergence of world-class sports, breakthrough technology and unforgettable fan experiences,” LG Electronics USA president and CEO Don Kwack said.

“As we connect our brand with one of the most passionate fan bases in professional sports, LG is proud that our industry-leading display innovations are transforming Dodger Stadium and elevating the in-stadium experience for fans. LG also looks forward to partnering with the Dodgers on community-impact initiatives that deliver on our brand promise of Life’s Good. This exemplifies unique LG synergies between consumer-focused initiatives and B2B technology integrations.”

LG’s advanced direct-view LED technology is designed specifically for outdoor stadium environments and provides brightness, vivid color reproduction, durability and seamless content presentation. The Reserve Level, Field Level and Top Deck at Dodger Stadium all now feature LG’s high-brightness LG GRPA Stadium Series Ribbon Outdoor LED Display.

Dodgers and LG expanding through ANC

With the new agreement, it builds on LG’s prior collaboration with ANC, a sports and entertainment agency that provides multimedia advertising solutions and venue technology integration.

“The Dodgers have consistently embraced innovation to create one of the best fan experiences in professional sports,” ANC president and CEO Jerry Cifarelli Jr. said.

“Our partnership with LG has enabled us to bring state-of-the-art display technology to Dodger Stadium, and we’re proud to help extend that relationship through a comprehensive marketing partnership that delivers value for the Dodgers, LG and millions of fans.”

Kwack added the Dodgers, ANC, LG Electronics will continue exploring other means to enhance the fan environment at Dodger Stadium through cutting-edge technology and immersive experiences.
