Dodgers News: Tyler Glasnow Trying To Build On Adjustments From 2025

4 Min Read

Tyler Glasnow was among the Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers who missed a significant portion of the 2025 season due to injury, but he continued to pitch at a high level when healthy.

The right-hander went 4-3 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 10.6 strikeouts per nine in 90.1 innings across 18 starts.

Glasnow made his biggest impact in the postseason, posting a 1.69 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 10.5 strikeouts per nine in 21.1 innings pitched across six appearances (three starts).

The 32-year-old made several mechanical changes last year that proved to be beneficial and wants to build on them as he enters his third season with the Dodgers.

“I think just like that,” Glasnow began. “I think Connor and Mark gave me so many things. Right before the postseason, we made some adjustments with how my hip is lined up. And I think a lot of my issues before that was me trying to find a comfortable feeling with that.

“And so I think working with them, getting that feeling, locking it in the postseason. This whole offseason has just been like business as usual. Stay healthy, don’t change anything, but just kind of solidify what I was doing in the postseason last year.”

Glasnow’s desire to improve has led to him trying new things with the help of the Dodgers training staff.

“I think so,” Glasnow said. “You’re kind of always tinkering, trying to find ways to get better in the offseason and just feel good moving forward.

“But like I said, I think going in every Spring Training it’s good, and I think it’s more about juggling the in-season stresses and stuff like that, and from start to start. And I think it’s working with the training staff and the strength coaches and getting on that program. And I think I’m in a really good spot right now.

“Just feeding everything through the Dodgers and having them write my program out, and checking in with them. It’s been good.”

Tyler Glasnow feeling good

The Dodgers repeating as World Series champions meant that the team had to navigate another shortened offseason, but Glasnow is feeling good with the start of Spring Training approaching.

“Yeah, I think for me, in the offseason, I always feel really good, and you throw, and you come into spring,” Glasnow said. “That’s never usually the thing. I think it’s the total, all the innings logged in spring and all that.

“I think as the season gets going, I think that gets a little bit more challenging to juggle how you feel, and then also juggling that you want to compete, and you want to take the ball and throw a ton of innings.

“And I think it’s finding that nice medium of a little bit of both. Health forward with the ability to go out and just let it loose.”
