The Los Angeles Dodgers farm system was well-represented in the recent announcements of Minor League weekly and monthly awards. Starling Heredia had a standout July with Rookie-level Ogden and it amounted to the 18-year-old being named Pioneer League Player of the Month.

Meanwhile, Raptors right-hander Edwin Uceta was named Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week (July 31-Aug. 6), Low-A Great Lakes third baseman Jared Walker was named Midwest League Player of the Week for that same time period, while Double-A Tulsa infielder Matt Beaty earned named Texas League Player of the Week honors.

Heredia batted .427/.489/.732 with 11 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 17 RBI over 19 games with the Raptors. He led the Pioneer league during that span in batting average, doubles, slugging percentage and on-base plus slugging.

Heredia also finished July second in the circuit with 16 extra-base hits and 60 total bases. The young outfielder earned his way to a promotion and now is with the Loons.

Uceta turned in six perfect innings, with five strikeouts in his lone start last week. Uceta is 0-2 with a 7.39 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 28 innings across eight starts for the Raptors this season.

Walker batted .444/.474/1.278 with 11 RBI over five games last week. Of his eight hits, three went for a double and four were home runs. Walker leads the Texas League with a .330 batting average.

Beaty hit .563/.559/.844 with six doubles and 10 RBI during the week he was recognized for. Beaty extended his hitting streak to a team-high 11 games in the process.
