Although the Los Angeles Dodgers are currently without Clayton Kershaw, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Rich Hill, each of the left-handers doesn’t appear poised to spend much more time on the 10-day injured list.

Kershaw for certain is due to be activated, as after making a pair of rehab starts, he is scheduled to make his 2019 Dodgers debut on Monday in the series opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Meanwhile, Hill and Ryu continue to recover from their respective injuries.

Hill crossed another hurdle Friday afternoon by pitching in a simulated game at Dodger Stadium. It marked his first time doing so since suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee during Spring Training.

According to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts outlined the next step for Hill is a rehab start within a week’s time:

It has not yet been determined if Hill will require multiple starts while on a rehab assignment.

Kershaw’s rehab was split between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Double-A Tulsa, but it is plausible Hill’s would come with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. The Quakes begin a three-game homestand on Thursday, April 18.

That coincides with the Dodgers embarking on a seven-game road trip for series with the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.
