Potentially beginning with Franklin Gutierrez on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers expect to see the return of multiple players from the disabled list. If all goes well, Logan Forsythe and Joc Pederson will be activated on Friday for the series opener against the San Diego Padres.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the duo is tracking to join High-A Rancho Cucamonga for their respective rehab assignments. Signs point to that taking place Thursday, when Rich Hill is scheduled to start for the Quakes as he continues the trek back from blister trouble.

Forsythe has been on the 10-day disabled list since April 19 with a fractured right big toe. He was projected to miss two or three weeks, and is already eligible to be activated.

Forsythe fielded ground balls at second base on Saturday, and advanced to running the bases Sunday. His expected return is largely predicated on pain threshold. Roberts said Forsythe’s fractured has yet to fully heal, but added the 30-year-old wasn’t feeling much ill effects.

Similarly, Pederson, who can’t come off the DL until Thursday, has tested his groin by completing various drills over recent days. He ran curves (edge of the infield dirt) on Saturday and ran the bases Sunday.
