The Minnesota Twins announced recent additions to their front office, including the hiring of Jeremy Zoll as Director of Minor League Operations. Zoll spent the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In 2015, he served as the Senior Manager of Player Development, then worked as the Assistant Director of Player Development in 2016 and 2017. Working under Dodgers director of player development, Gabe Kapler, Zoll assisted in the oversight of the farm system.

He also aided in the development and implementation of on-field philosophies and special programs, and assisted the organization’s Research and Development department with instilling various initiatives.

Prior to joining the Dodgers, Zoll was the Coordinator of Advance Scouting for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2014. He graduated from Haverford College in 2012.

The Dodgers have not named a replacement for Zoll, which may not come until the offseason. It’s unclear whether the organization will promote from within or seek an external option to fill the void.

The Dodgers made strides in rebuilding their farm system under team president Stan Kasten once the Guggenheim group assumed control. The efforts and focus were further expanded when Andrew Friedman was hired as president of baseball operations.

Friedman oversees an expansive front office that includes several former general managers, and a Minor League system led by Kapler who is backed by a robust support system that’s heralded among the best in baseball.
