Cody Bellinger was named the National League Rookie of the Month for June, marking the second time he’s received the honor. Bellinger was among the four Los Angeles Dodgers named to the National League roster for the 2017 All-Star Game.

He batted .286/.361/.743 with nine doubles, 13 home runs and 27 RBI over 28 games (27 starts) during June. Bellinger also had four stolen bases, 13 walks, a .436 wOBA and 175 wRC+ during that span. His 30 total hits, double, home run and walk totals were career highs for a month.

Bellinger’s RBI total matched that of May, when he first received Rookie of the Month honors. He hit .245/.314/.566 with five doubles and nine home runs in the same number of games and starts during May.

The 21-year-old is the first position player in Dodgers history to make All-Star Game in his first season in Majors. He’s the third straight Dodgers rookie to receive a bid to the Midsummer Classic.

Joc Pederson (2015) and Corey Seager (2016) each got their first experience in the Majors the September prior to assuming a full-time role. Bellinger made his MLB debut April 25, and with 24 home runs on the season, has hit the most in the Majors since his debut date.

Bellinger is the Dodgers’ first player to repeat as Rookie of the Month winner.
