The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Casey Sadler from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed Dylan Floro on the 10-day injured list with a left intercostal strain roughly one hour before first pitch of Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Floro heads to the IL one day after he was recalled from OKC. He’s appeared in 39 games for the Dodgers this season, going 4-3 with a 3.89 ERA, 3.78 FIP and 1.29 WHIP. Floro allowed one hit in a scoreless inning of work against the Blue Jays on Monday.

He was optioned to Oklahoma City after a bit of a rough patch, and returned after a successful stretch with the Dodgers’ top affiliate. “We wanted to send him out to try and work on that slider. We feel there’s been some progress, so we want to see how it plays here,” Roberts said Monday.

Floro previously spent time on the 10-day injured list this season due to neck inflammation. Although it did not require a roster move, he additionally was limited by a sore right shoulder during April.

Sadler was recalled a fourth time since being acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. He’s allowed just one earned run over 12.1 innings (0.73 ERA) with eight strikeouts across nine appearances with the Dodgers.

In 18 combined games this season with the Rays and Dodgers, he has a 1.42 ERA and 1.01 WHIP. Because of his multiple stints with the Dodgers, Sadler has appeared in just two games for Oklahoma City.
