Dodgers Collaborate With Mister Cartoon On Special Release For Opening Day At Dodger Stadium

Coinciding with Opening Day at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers partnered with legendary tattoo artist and creative Mister Cartoon on a special player t-shirt series that features Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Julio Urías.

The reimagined Dodgers player t-shirt series will be available exclusively at Dodger Stadium, beginning Thursday with the start of the 2023 regular season. A promotional video shared by the team revealed the Dodgers-Mister Cartoon shirts are being sold in two colors.

Dodgers merchandise collaborations in years past have involved Undefeated, Union Los Angeles, Born X Raised, and Bricks and Wood, among others.

Mister Cartoon previously worked with the Dodgers on a limited-edition 2020 World Series champions card for Topps, which quickly sold out.

He was born and raised in Los Angeles, and has created a wide range of murals, album covers and logos in addition to well-known tattoo designs.

Mister Cartoon has additionally created collaborations for Apple, Nike, Model, Disney and T-Mobile, among other corporations.

Dodgers Opening Day details

Urías is making his first career Opening Day start and follows in the footsteps of Walker Buehler in carrying the torch after Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw holds the franchise record with nine Dodgers Opening Day starts, and like with Buehler last season, is equally excited to watch Urías receive the honor this year.

Opening Day at Dodger Stadium is a night game for only the fifth time in the past 47 years. The Dodgers recently played night games on Opening Day in 1995, 2011 and 2020.

Their 2022 home opener — but not first game of the season — was at night.
