2026 Dodgers MLB Draft: Rounds 11-20 Selections On Day 2

8 Min Read

The 2026 MLB Draft ended on Sunday, which saw the Los Angeles Dodgers make 14 selections from Day 2 after a quiet opening day.

The Dodgers had only 16 selections entering the 2026 MLB Draft, including six in the first 10 rounds.

The selections consisted of five right-handed pitchers, five left-handed pitchers, two outfielders, three infielders and one catcher. Three of the 16 draftees were taken out of high school, while the remaining 13 were from the college ranks.

L.A. kicked off their draft with the selection of shortstop Bo Lowrance out of Christ Church Episcopal High School in South Carolina. Lowrance was ranked No. 21 on the top 250 Draft prospects list by MLB Pipeline. He doesn’t figure to remain at shortstop and could slide over to a corner spot on the field.

Russell Sandefer, right-handed pitcher out of the University of Florida, was the Dodgers’ final pick of Day 1. The collegiate pitcher was drafted with the No. 132nd overall pick in the fourth round.

L.A. forfeited their second and third round picks in this year’s draft as a penalty for signing Edwin Díaz and Kyle Tucker in free agency. Both players received qualifying offers from their previous teams before signing with the Dodgers.

Day 2 of the draft began without the Dodgers making a pick in the fifth or sixth round as further punishment for signing Díaz and Tucker.

L.A.’s first four picks of Day 2 consisted of three pitchers and a position player.

The deadline to sign 2026 MLB Draft picks is 2 p.m. PT on Monday, July 27. The Dodgers have a bonus pool of $3,951,900 for their 2026 MLB Draft picks, which is last among all teams.

Bonus pools are calculated by adding the slot values of every pick through the first 10 rounds. Any signing bonus amount more than $125,000 for draft picks after the 10th round also counts against pool money.

Consequences for exceeding that allotment include a 75% tax on any overage up to 5% of the pool. If a team goes beyond the 5% threshold, they will lose their first-round pick in the next draft.
