2024 Dodgers Spring Training: Report Dates & First Full-Squad Workout

The start of 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training is February 9, when pitchers and catchers hold their first workout at Camelback Ranch. The Dodgers’ first full-squad workout then takes place February 14.

Dodgers Photo Day is scheduled for February 20.

While those are the dates for official workouts, players have historically reported to Camelback Ranch ahead of when they are formally expected in camp.

This spring comes with a slightly earlier start for the Dodgers due to opening the season in South Korea with the Seoul Series against the San Diego Padres on March 20 and 21. It’s going to mark the first time MLB has ever played games in Korea.

Daily Dodgers workouts at Camelback Ranch are open to the general public and free to attend.

Among the Dodgers storylines this spring are Shohei Ohtani forming with Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman as arguably the best trio in baseball, Yoshinobu Yamamoto making the transition from Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), and Tyler Glasnow looking to more consistently establish himself as an ace-caliber pitcher.

Still unclear, however, is if Clayton Kershaw will continue his career with the team. Should Kershaw re-sign, he would remain the longest-tenured player in the Dodgers organization at 17 seasons.

Otherwise, that title currently belongs to Austin Barnes, who is entering his 10th season with the team.

2024 Dodgers Spring Training schedule

The Dodgers begin Cactus League play Thursday, February 22, with a road matchup against the Padres. L.A. then faces San Diego the following afternoon for their first home game of the spring.

Because of opening the 2024 season internationally, the Dodgers only have 21 Cactus League games on this year’s Spring Training schedule. Included within that is just one split-squad date — March 2 — and one scheduled off day on March 4.

The Dodgers’ final game Cactus League game is Wednesday, March 13, when they face the Seattle Mariners at Camelback Ranch.

After playing the Seoul Series, the Dodgers return to Southern California for the annual exhibition Freeway Series from March 24-26. The first two games are being played at Dodger Stadium before the series shifts to Anaheim for the finale.

Stateside Opening Day of the 2024 season is March 28, when the Dodgers host the St. Louis Cardinals.
