ESPN has announced Sunday Night Baseball telecasts into August of this season, and for the Dodgers, it is their fourth appearance. They were previously selected for their May 7 game against the Padres, June 4 contest against the New York Yankees and June 25 matchup against the Houston Astros.

The Dodgers have gone 6-1 against the Padres this season in what has been a tale of two seasons for the National League West foes. L.A. currently sits atop of the division standings, while San Diego is in a disappointing fourth place.

The Padres have not given up on their 2023 season as they were buyers at the trade deadline, acquiring Rich Hill, Ji Man Choi, Scott Barlow and Garrett Cooper.

As the Dodgers pursue a 10th NL West title in the last 11 seasons, they added the likes of Kiké Hernandez, Amed Rosario, Lance Lynn, Joe Kelly and Ryan Yarbrough.
