The Los Angeles Dodgers were selected for seven national TV broadcasts on Fox or FS1 during the 2021 regular season, beginning with their April 3 matchup against the Colorado Rockies as part of the Opening Series at Coors Field.
All but one of the aforementioned telecasts will additionally air on Fox Deportes. The lone omission is when the Dodgers play a road game with the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, June 5, which will only be carried by Fox.
That is among five Dodgers games on Saturdays that will be exclusively televised for by Fox for a national audience as part of their “Baseball Night in America” programming. The remaining two FS1 broadcasts will be carried by SportsNet LA as well.
The Dodgers most prominently will feature on the Fox family of networks during a one-week stretch in May for games against the San Francisco Giants (twice) and Houston Astros.
Whether an FS1 or Fox broadcast, each of the network’s games additionally will simulcast on the Fox Sports app. While Fox announced a robust slate of national broadcasts for the 2021 season, games were not yet assigned for the final two weekends in September.
Fox Sports is entering their 26th season of covering MLB games and a sixth consecutive year with a lead broadcast team of Joe Buck, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal. Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis is expected to reprise his periodic role on the national level.
The Fox broadcast team also includes Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Verducci, Eric Karros, Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz. However, no longer part of the group is Dontrelle Willis. He joined the Dodgers organization earlier this month as a special assistant. “Anytime you can get the knowledge and energy is a good thing for any organization,” manager Dave Roberts said of the hire.
