Major League Baseball announced the 2017 postseason and World Series schedule, which begins with the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday, Oct. 3 (aired on ESPN). That comes two days after the final games of the 2017 regular season are played.

This is a third consecutive season in which every game on the regular season’s final day will begin at the same time. The National League Wild Card Game will be played Wednesday, Oct. 4 (aired on TBS).

The start times for neither Wild Card contests, nor the location, are determined. As it stands, the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals would meet in the AL Wild Card Game. While the Colorado Rockies would host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL game.

The AL Division Series begins Thursday, Oct. 5, with the NLDS opening the following day. TBS has exclusive broadcasting rights to the NLDS and NL Championship Series.

The ALDS will either be televised on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) or MLB Network. All games of the ALCS will be carried on either FOX or FS1.

FOX again has exclusive rights to the World Series, with Game 1 scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24. There are travel days built into the World Series schedule (after Game 2; and after Game 5, if necessary).

Should the Fall Classic reach a Game 7, that’s scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 1. The 113th World Series is a 2-3-3 format, and home-field advantage this year will be determined by the team with the best record, not the All-Star Game.
