12th Annual Dodgers All-Access: Kiké Hernández, Evan Phillips And Legends Participate In Q&A

4 Min Read

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) partnered to host the 12th annual Dodgers All-Access event at Dodger Stadium on Monday.

The evening gave hundreds of attendees the opportunity to celebrate the 2024 and 2025 World Series titles and enjoy a behind-the-scenes experience at Chavez Ravine.

Fans were treated to a buffet dinner with tables set up on the infield dirt, and had the chance to hit in the batting cage, pitch in the bullpen, bid on exclusive items at a silent auction, take photos with current and former Dodgers players and the last two World Series trophies.

Following the activities for fans, there was a question-and-answer segment on stage. SportsNet LA host John Hartung was the emcee with broadcaster Orel Hershiser being joined by Evan Phillips, Kiké Hernández, Jerry Hairston Jr., Rick Dempsey and Bill Russell.

Will Klein, Brock Stewart, Dennis Powell and Mickey Hatcher were also at the event for fans to interact with.

Dodgers All-Access Panels

Phillips and Dempsey were the first panel members joining Hartung and Hershiser. With two pitchers and a catcher, they gave insight into some of the behind-the-scenes fans don’t always get to hear from the battery during an MLB game.

Phillips also discussed returning from Tommy John surgery and the process of getting back on track after some early struggles, his hopes of pitching in the World Series this year after missing the last two, and what changed in his career after joining the Dodgers.

Dempsey detailed his career that included catching more than one dozen Cy Young Award winners, including Hershiser, and shared what it was like to catch the Bulldog.

Hernández, Russell and Hairston were the final panel, and all of them shared what it meant to play for the Dodgers and how special it is to put on the uniform. As utility players, they all also discussed the challenges of learning new positions during their careers and moving around the diamond.

In addition, Hernández detailed his perspective on Andy Pages’ catch in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series and on his pitching career.
