The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the home stretch of Spring Training, as they head back to Los Angeles after their final Cactus League game on Wednesday. They will play a three-game exhibition Freeway Series, then open the 2017 season on Monday.

Tuesday brings split-squad action for the Dodgers, with matchups against the San Diego Padres (home game) and Cincinnati Reds on the road. Their game against the Reds is the second and final meeting this spring.

Alex Wood, competing with Brandon McCarthy for the last spot in the Dodgers starting rotation, takes the mound for his final outing of the spring. In four games (two starts), he has thrown 11.1 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits (3.18 ERA), while striking out 11 and walking two.

In his last start against the Padres, Wood gave up just two hits and one run while striking out five in 4.1 innings of work. Wood is looking to stretch out to the six-inning plateau on Tuesday.

Walker Buehler is among the pitchers scheduled to travel with the Dodgers. Assuming the right-hander pitches in relief, it will mark Buehler’s 2017 debut. He was identified as a candidate to appear during the exhibition Freeway Series.

The Reds counter with veteran right-hander Scott Feldman, who is making his fifth start of the spring. In 13 innings he has yielded a 4.15 ERA. Tuesday is Feldman’s final tuneup before he takes the mound on Opening Day for the Reds against the Philadelphia Phillies at Great American Ballpark.
