The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to call up Cody Bellinger, the organization’s top position-player prospect, from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Bellinger has been a focal point in the Dodgers farm system since Corey Seager and Julio Urias graduated from their prospect status.

Bellinger was on a tear with Oklahoma City this season, hitting .343/.429/.627 with four doubles, five home runs and 15 RBIs over 18 games. He ranked second on the team in home runs and tied for fourth in the Pacific Coast League. His RBI total was good for seventh in the circuit.

While he is primarily a first baseman, Bellinger has logged time at all three outfield spots throughout his Minor League career. He’s expected to primarily play left field and center field for the Dodgers.

Bellinger’s arrival came a bit early than most expected, which further fueled the excitement surrounding the news. Included below is a roundup of some of the best reaction.
